Hebron Center Nursery School

Parent Responsibilities

As a cooperative (co-op) school, HCNS relies on the active participation of all enrolled families.

All parents serve on a Committee or on the Board of Directors to assist in the administration of the school. A list of committee and board opportunities for the upcoming school year will be available at the Open Registration in February.

Most importantly, all parents assist in the classroom on a rotating basis during their child’s class, as a “Parent of the Day“ (POD). This is critical to HCNS’s cooperative program!  PODs assist the teacher(s) and children in many ways—helping little hands clean up after crafts, organizing and cleaning up after the class and sometimes even bringing the class a snack to enjoy!

Participation in the cooperative program is a condition of your child’s enrollment in the school, as well as a fun way to get involved in your child’s education.
